This lovely serpentine dresser has been redone into a fabulous and bold piece of functional art. It, like all things old has lasted the years due to its fine craftsmanship and materials that you just don't see nowadays. This beauty survived a house fire and needed a bit of a face lift from the smoke damage. It has been sanded down and recovered to highlight its charm and imperfections. The mirror is spotted but beveled and still lovely finished in the copper leaf on the frame. The top has been reworked and covered with layers of copper leaf as well to give it a rustic and beautiful copper patina. The body has all been painted gemstone turquoise and distressed to highlight its curves. The knobs were just about the only thing I have replaced with copper mercury glass to tie in the lovely combination. The front feed of the dresser are claw-foot and all legs have knew brass rollers. All the existing brass keyholes are intact, but no skeleton key so they can't be locked. If you love copper and turquoise this dresser is sure to please.
